The Mini-ALTO & RAD-2 Kit is a compact and versatile microphone windshield and shock mounting system for location sound professionals. It features the award winning RAD shock mount for exceptional isolation from handling noise, an ultra-lightweight 2-part magnetic "pod" windshield that can be fitted/unfitted in seconds and a removable fur cover for added wind protection. The Mini-ALTO 480 size windshield kits come in full kits which include the windshield, a RAD-2 Mount, spare hoops with different suspension firmness, a fur windcover, a "smiley face" adaptor, pistol grip handle and a magnetic stowage holder for the windshield with a caribiner clip. If you already have a RAD-2 Shock Mount, there is an 480 size Add-On Kit available which has the parts needed to convert a RAD mount into a full coverage Mini-ALTO windshield. Mini-ALTO Stereo Y-cable uses Lemo FVN connectors (2) to a Straight XLR 5-pin male connector. Perfect for use in the Mini-ALTO windshield series with MS pairs, such as the Schoeps CCM-41/Mk8. The cables length are 275mm, and therefore designed to be used with the Mini-ALTO in a boom adaptor configuration. The Y-cable also have a cable plug designed to fit into the cable exit of the Mini-ALTO smiley face, made from an ultra-soft TPE material - for creating a seal around the cable exiting the basket. The cable diameters are a slim 2.8mm yet extremely durable with an ultra-flexible PUR Polyurethane Jacket material that is crush resistant, tear-resistant and cold-resistant.
